John suggested these for placing under metal stock to get some distance off of table with tack welding/ welding. On smaller stock, the 1" tube stock I am currently working with would wobble under these, I could not get one puck under 2 pieces I waned to join flat & square as it was too small and the sock would find the grove when tightening down. This is also where I found the ratchet clamps to pull the stock to the side as you tightened it. I realize these are to go on the T-clamps, and when I do some round stock I will be glad I have these. It was a good idea, but not that efficient. I had some spare 1/2" brass stock and cut these down to be my "backing spacers"

I love these for stops and being able to adjust and tighten down into place. But the 1hole on the end is distorted so that I can not get a ball lock pin into it. This was the first email I sent to John on 6/6/24. I speculated the hole was cut first and then the whole piece is put into a break and bent and when this happens it distorts the hole. I was able to clamp and center in my bridgeport and chase with a 16mm reamer. I then had to square up the front side as it was not square to the work. I milled down the front and then cleaned up with had file to make square. I had to do this to all 8 of my sliding stops. I am also having to file down the "bulge" created at the bend/crease so that I can have a complete flat side on vertical and horizontal sides of the sliding clamps to be able to use as a squared flat stop,
This is me fine tuning the tooling for my use/purpose and getting to know my tooling. Not that you should, but the hole should definitely be reamed out to fit the 16mm tooling you sell to go with this table.

Love these, use these all the time to help square the build up, especially with the ball pin locks, Awesome! I had to clean up a few little tabs from laser cutter as they stick out just enough to throw the square off. But I don't mind doing this because Im getting to know the tooling and moving forward I will know they are all smooth and squared up.
I will definitely be getting some more of these.

I never received these 8" clamps. I got your lager 300mm ones. When I went back to your website after my order these were no longer listed so Im assuming you no longer cary these. A lot of my work is for architects, interior designers, and furniture builds. Most of my material is smaller size, 1/2", 1", (what Im working on now) and 3" stock, So I don't need huge clamps. Bigger is not always better :) Now I am having to work over 300mm clamps which can get in the way for me, whereas a smaller clamp would allow me to get over and work around easier. The 300MM ratchet clamps that were sent to me as a bonus for my order I find move the stock as Im tightening down the ratchet handle. They also do not work on smaller 1" stock without packing it out. I will try these again on another project and see if it is operator error.
Both 300mm ratchet clamps and T- handle clamps do not fit in your drawers. If you can make your future drawers 1/2" deeper your tooling that you sell will fit a lot more efficiently. If I lay them at an angle to be able to fit in the drawer, its a huge waste of space as you can only put a few in there. I am working through cutting 1/2" off the top of all your 300mm clamps, re-drilling& taping the hole for the stop screw and so that they can fit properly into your (my) drawers for what I think is proper storage and use of the space. I will look at other sites for shorter T-clamps as you no longer cary.

I WAS loving these for legs, extensions, 90 degree stops, possible table top extensions when needed, or anything until yesterday. Yesterday I went to use plier clamps to hold a leg vertical and square. I discovered 3 or the 4 fab squared I ordered from you at $599 had the 20 front holes cut too small so I cant use any of the clamps, tooling, or ANY of the 16mm items I also got from you on them. This is why I am filling your your review now. I also sent 2 emails to John on his email on 6/6/24 and 6/26/24 regarding issues with my order and what I received and did not receive and I never received a response from anyone at Texas Metals. I will address those issues again when I get to to items on this overall review.
These 14" fab squares are too big to fit in my bridgeport to use a 16mm reamer to correct holes. The knee does not go down that far and my reamer has a 9/16" shank that I cant use in my hand drill as it only goes up to 1/2"
So I need to come up with another way to ream out 60 holes on 3 fab squares. Once I get this corrected, Im sure I will love these items again.

I love this table! great design and ability to change and use for different jobs and set ups. Wish I had sooner but happy to have now. Makes my welding jobs so much more accurate and easier to set up with with the accessories you provide to go with it. Solid enough that when I stand on it, there is NO movement and easier to move around when needed then a 2000lbs cast iron table.
I also appreciate Kirk taking the time to answer all my questions before ordering and recommending I get your newer design with the 16mm holes for future tooling needs. Appreciate grid pattern cut into top of table for ease of setup. After a few phone calls and and Q&A, I knew I wanted your table and not some of the others out there on the market. Your design is best for my needs and use.
The negative issues that will follow on some of your items are for learning and to hopefully to improve upon. I will definitely be ordering more items from you as this table is the best tool in my shop. And if I can help you improve your tooling and learning curve, that will eventually help me be a better welder, artist and fabricator.
