Pack your parts onto sheet and plate to minimize scrap. Enter your stock, your parts, the kerf, and whether parts can rotate, and the tool nests them, draws a landscape cut diagram per sheet, and reports material yield. Bin packing is NP-hard, so the layout is a strong approximation, not a proven optimum.

Cut Settings Use the same units for every field.

Kerf is the material removed by each cut; it is added as spacing between parts. Edge trim reserves a clean-up margin around the sheet. Lock a part's orientation (for grain or a directional finish) by unchecking Rotate on that part.

Stock

The sheets or plates on hand. Quantity is how many of that size you have; check Unlimited to treat a size as effectively endless. Stock is used top to bottom, so drag a row by its handle (or focus it and use the arrow keys) to set your preferred order.

Method: offline 2D rectangular bin-packing (Maximal Rectangles, Best-Short-Side-Fit) with optional 90° rotation. Bin packing is NP-hard, so the layout is a strong approximation, not a proven optimum. Results are deterministic for a given input.
