Press Brake Tonnage Calculator
Size a press brake bend from end to end. Enter your material, thickness, V-die, bend length, and angle, and the tool returns the force per foot and total tonnage with a 20% safety margin, plus the V-die, bend radius, minimum flange, and minimum bend radius for that material. Tonnage and radii are estimates; real values vary with friction, exact tensile strength, temper, grain, and lot.

Min. bend radius is the tightest inside radius before cracking, as a multiple of thickness. The range spans grain direction (low = across the grain, high = with the grain). Temper and lot shift it, so test a coupon for tight or critical bends.
