Kirk Pozadzides Takes Over as CEO

John P. may have founded the company, but the real catch was when his brother Kirk P. took the reigns. Kirk spent several years growing another organization, then finally selling it to a large investment company. It was a perfect opportunity to join John and take Texas Metal Works to the next level.

Sales were skyrocketing, employees were coming on board, and suppliers and distribution were being lined up to meet the growing demand.

With demand for welding tables exploding, and COVID choking off international supply, Texas Metal Works needed much more room to operate! So we purchased a facility in Conroe, TX, a manufacturing hotspot just north of Houston, TX.

We also equipped the new facility with brand new state of the art lasers, CNC press brakes, inventory and shipping facilities and more.

As sales continued to escallate, it became apparent that we needed way more capacity! Our lasers weren’t going to fulfill the orders even if we ran them 24/7. So John and Kirk made the decision to invest in the world’s most powerful commercial laser! A 22kw fiber cutting behemoth!

At the time, it was the first and largest laser in North or South America. And it gave us the ability to slash production times and manufacture tables 3-4 times faster.

Since the shop wasn’t completely full, we continued adding new equipment to increase production capacity. Welding stations, CNC servo press brakes, robotic welders, and of course more employees.

What’s better than having a 22kw laser? TWO 22kw lasers! So, we added another to keep up with production demands. Since we also have crazy capacity we began doing some outsourced manufacturing for a very select number of companies who require laser cut parts, forming, and fabrication.

In 2024 we added a second larger, auto-loading CNC tube cutting laser, as well as laser welding, fiber laser marking, and CO2 laser for etching and cutting non-ferrous materials.

Our 20,000 sq ft facility is busting at the seams! So we’re looking to more than double our space on our adjacent land next door.

We’ve also got a ton of new product lines coming to market, looking to grow our staff aggressively, and maybe one day we’ll even do some sales and marketing since 100% of our growth has been pure organic word-of-mouth! Thanks for that! 🙂
