Welding
Services

AWS certified welders running MIG, TIG, stick, and flux core across carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. From single weldments to production runs, structural to precision work. ISO 9001 certified facility in Conroe, TX.

Weld Processes

Every Process, Every Position

Our welders hold AWS certifications across multiple processes and can weld in all positions. We match the right process to your application.

GMAW

MIG Welding

Gas Metal Arc Welding. Our most-used process for production fabrication. Fast deposition rates, clean welds, ideal for carbon steel and aluminum on plate and structural shapes.

Best for: Production fab, structural, plate work

GTAW

TIG Welding

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. Precision process for stainless steel, aluminum, and thin materials where weld appearance and penetration control matter.

Best for: Stainless, aluminum, precision work

SMAW

Stick Welding

Shielded Metal Arc Welding. Versatile process for structural connections, heavy plate, and field-ready weldments. Works in all positions on any thickness.

Best for: Structural connections, heavy plate

FCAW

Flux Core Welding

Flux-Cored Arc Welding. High deposition rates for heavy structural work. Self-shielded or gas-shielded depending on application and code requirements.

Best for: Heavy structural, high-deposition

Applications

Production Shop,
Not a Mobile Rig

We are not a mobile welding service or a one-person shop. Texas Metal Works is a 40,000 sq ft production welding facility with overhead cranes, positioners, and the equipment to handle projects from single prototypes to high-volume production runs.

ISO 9001 Certified

American steel, American made

Structural Weldments

Beams, columns, connections, base plates, and full structural assemblies per AWS D1.1.

Production Fabrication

Repeat weldments for OEMs and manufacturers. Consistent quality on volume orders with documented WPS.

Pipe and Tube

Pipe spools, tube frames, roll cages, and pressure piping. Carbon, stainless, and chrome-moly.

Custom One-Offs

Prototypes, repair weldments, equipment modifications, and custom brackets. No job too small.

FAQ

Common Questions

How much do welding services cost?

Shop welding rates typically run $100 to $120 per hour, but most projects are quoted per-piece or per-project rather than hourly. Simple weldments can be a few hundred dollars. Complex multi-component assemblies run higher. We provide detailed quotes so you know the cost before we start.

What types of welding do you offer?

MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), stick (SMAW), and flux core (FCAW). We select the process based on your material, thickness, code requirements, and finish expectations. All welders are AWS certified.

What materials can you weld?

Carbon steel (A36, A572, AR400), stainless steel (304, 316, Duplex), aluminum (5052, 6061), and chrome-moly (4130). From thin sheet through heavy plate and structural shapes.

Are your welders certified?

Yes. All welders hold AWS certifications for the processes and materials they run. We maintain qualified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) per AWS and ASME codes.

Do you offer non-destructive testing?

Yes. We perform visual inspection (VT) on all welds. Ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), and liquid penetrant (PT) testing are available on request for code work and critical applications.

Do you do mobile or on-site welding?

We are a shop-based fabrication facility, not a mobile welding service. All welding is performed in our 40,000 sq ft shop where we have proper equipment, positioning, ventilation, and quality control. For field work, we can recommend partners.
