What is pipe spool fabrication?
Pipe spool fabrication is the shop-based manufacturing of pre-assembled piping sections (spools) that include pipe, flanges, elbows, tees, reducers, and other fittings. Spools are welded, tested, and documented in the shop, then delivered to the job site for installation. This reduces field welding, improves quality, and speeds up construction.
What pipe codes do you fabricate to?
We fabricate per ASME B31.1 (Power Piping), ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), and ASME Section IX (Welding Qualifications). All welding is performed per qualified WPS with documented PQR backing.
What materials do you work with?
Carbon steel (A106, A53), stainless steel (304, 316), chrome-moly (P11, P22, P91), and specialty alloys. We source pipe, fittings, and flanges per your material specification and provide MTRs for full traceability.
Do you provide NDE and testing?
Yes. We coordinate radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), and liquid penetrant (PT) testing per your project specification. Hydrostatic and pneumatic testing are performed in our shop before delivery.
What documentation do you provide?
Full turnover packages including material test reports (MTRs), welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR), weld maps, welder continuity logs, NDE reports, hydro test reports, and as-built markups as required.
How are spools delivered?
Spools are tagged with spool numbers matching your isometrics, bundled by system or area, and delivered on flatbed trucks to your job site. We can sequence deliveries to match your installation schedule.
