The Texas Metal Works 10″ Super Square is the only fabrication square designed and machined on multiple axis to not only allow clamping on all sides, but to also be fixtured directly to standard 16mm / 5/8″ hole fixture tables.
Of course, you can use the square for fixturing two parts with a couple of standard C-clamps at either 90 degrees (as shown), or by choosing the smaller angle at 45 degrees.
In addition, you can attach the Super Square directly to the table surface using a bolt, or one of our quick attach Ball Locks (1/2″, 5/8″ or Adjustable).
This ensures the Super Square presents a perfect 90 degree perpendicular face to the surface. Then, to spice things up a bit, you can bolt on the included stainless steel alignment plate using standard 1/4-20 bolts to achieve a second perfect 90 degree plane. Our mounting holes pass entirely through, enabling fixturing on both sides – or any other creative use you can come up with!
This allows you to, for example, clamp a tube to the square with a single C-clamp, and achieve a truly perfect 90 degree upright in both directions.
You might also notice that the Super Square corner is chamfered. This allows room for small flanges, such as the foot plate being welded onto this section of tubing. But it will also allow for tack welds in instances where the two sites are bringing together pieces of material that meet at a 90.
One edge of the Super Square is slotted to allow for fixturing to the table at a variety of angles and positions.
While the other edge has holes to allow for tight and precise placement on a table surface.
