DIY kits start at $599.99 for a 30″x40″ top in 1/4″ thickness. A complete set (top + legs) for the same size starts at $759.98. The largest complete set (50″x100″ with 3/8″ top and casters) is around $4,470. DIY kits cost roughly 30-40% less than the equivalent fully fabricated table.

No. Powder coating is not available on DIY kits. The tops ship in mill finish (P&O) and the leg kits ship in bare steel. If you need a coated table, our fully fabricated tables offer optional powder coating in over 200 colors on the base and shelf.

Yes. All DIY tops are CNC-cut with the same 5/8″ fixture hole pattern as our fully fabricated tables. This means all TMW clamps, fixtures, stops, and accessories work with DIY tops. The hole pattern is on a standard grid so you can use 16mm/5/8″ tooling from any manufacturer.

The fully fabricated table is a higher quality product. It ships fully welded by AWS certified fabricators, surface-ground flat to tight tolerances, with an optional powder coat finish and base shelf. The DIY kit is a budget-friendly alternative: you get the same CNC-cut top and a bolt-together leg kit, but you do the assembly yourself. DIY kits do not include powder coating, do not offer a 1/2″ top option, and surface flatness is not ground after cutting. If your budget allows, the fully fabricated table is the better long-term investment.

Leg kits come in two standard configurations: self-leveling feet and 5″ total-lock casters. The larger sizes (50″x100″ and 60″x60″) also offer a combination option with both casters and leveling feet. Legs bolt to the underside of the top. No welding is required for leg attachment if you use the TMW leg kits.

Yes. Every size is available as a top-only purchase. This is ideal if you are building your own custom base, want a non-standard table height, or need a replacement top for an existing frame. All tops ship flat with pre-cut 5/8″ fixture holes on a standard grid pattern.

We offer DIY welding table tops in 9 sizes: 30″x40″, 30″x60″, 30″x80″, 30″x100″, 40″x40″, 40″x80″, 50″x50″, 50″x100″, and 60″x60″. Matching leg kits are available for 7 of those sizes. The 30″x80″ and 50″x50″ are top-only (no matching leg kit). All tops use the same 5/8″ hole pattern and A572-50 steel as our fully fabricated tables.

All DIY welding table tops are CNC-cut from A572-50 P&O (pickled and oiled) steel plate. This is the same high-strength, low-alloy structural steel used in our fully fabricated tables. Available in 1/4″ and 3/8″ thickness. The 1/4″ top is good for light to medium fabrication work. The 3/8″ top is better for heavy-duty welding where you need more rigidity and heat resistance.
