Are your workbenches made in the USA?

Every workbench is built in our facility in Conroe, Texas. The steel is American-sourced A572-50, and our shop is ISO 9001 certified. The same team that builds our welding tables (we’re the largest US-based welding table manufacturer) is building your workbench. We don’t import frames from overseas and assemble them here. Everything is cut, welded,Continue reading “Are your workbenches made in the USA?”

How much does a welding booth cost?

Our ModPro welding booths start at $2,960 for a single 4×4 steel-panel booth and go up to about $6,660 for a 12×12 single station. If you’re doing side-by-side or back-to-back configurations, the per-station cost drops because booths share walls. A 10-station side-by-side setup costs significantly less per booth than buying ten singles. The final priceContinue reading “How much does a welding booth cost?”

What’s the difference between steel and polycarbonate (Tuffak) booth panels?

We offer two panel options: 16-gauge steel and Tuffak polycarbonate. Steel panels are our standard option. They’re 33 times stronger than the thin sheet metal most competitors use, they block all UV and spatter, and they’re the most durable choice for high-volume production environments. Tuffak polycarbonate panels are translucent, so instructors and supervisors can seeContinue reading “What’s the difference between steel and polycarbonate (Tuffak) booth panels?”

Do your welding booths work with fume extractors?

Absolutely. Our booths are compatible with all major fume extraction setups. You can mount a source-capture arm directly to the booth frame, tie into overhead ductwork, or pair the booth with a portable fume extractor. The enclosed design actually makes fume extraction more efficient because you’re capturing fumes in a contained space instead of tryingContinue reading “Do your welding booths work with fume extractors?”

How are your welding booths different from welding curtains?

Curtains are a sheet of vinyl hanging from a frame. They block UV flash for people walking by, and that’s about it. They don’t contain sparks overhead, they don’t stop fumes, they don’t reduce noise, and they wear out. Our ModPro booths are full steel-frame enclosures with walls, a roof, and a door. They containContinue reading “How are your welding booths different from welding curtains?”

Can I set up a welding lab for my school or CTE program with these booths?

That’s one of the biggest things we do. We’ve outfitted schools and training centers across the country with ModPro booths. For CTE programs and community colleges, we typically recommend Tuffak polycarbonate panels so instructors can monitor students from outside the booth. Side-by-side configurations are the most popular for school labs because they share walls andContinue reading “Can I set up a welding lab for my school or CTE program with these booths?”

What does modular mean? Can I reconfigure the booths later?

Modular means every panel, post, and component is interchangeable and bolt-together. Nothing is welded in place. If your shop changes, your booths change with it. You can go from single booths to a side-by-side row, or from side-by-side to back-to-back, by rearranging the same parts. Need to add two more stations next year? You justContinue reading “What does modular mean? Can I reconfigure the booths later?”

How do your welding booths ship, and how hard is the installation?

Everything ships flat-packed on pallets via freight. The panels, posts, hardware, and assembly instructions are all included. Most crews can assemble a single booth in under an hour with basic hand tools. Side-by-side and back-to-back configurations go even faster per station because shared walls cut the part count. You don’t need specialized contractors or heavyContinue reading “How do your welding booths ship, and how hard is the installation?”

What’s the difference between single, side-by-side, and back-to-back booths?

A single booth is a freestanding, fully enclosed station. It’s the right call when you need booths in different areas of the shop or only have one or two stations. Side-by-side booths share a wall between adjacent stations, which cuts material cost and saves floor space. This is what most schools and production lines use.Continue reading “What’s the difference between single, side-by-side, and back-to-back booths?”

Who are your welding booths built for?

We build booths for anyone running permanent welding stations. That includes fabrication shops, manufacturing plants, high school and college CTE programs, trade schools, shipyards, fleet maintenance facilities, makerspaces, and government/military installations. If you’ve got welders working in fixed positions and you need to contain UV, sparks, fumes, and noise, our booths are built for that.Continue reading “Who are your welding booths built for?”

How do your booths compare to Lincoln Electric or FumeDog booths?

Lincoln and FumeDog both make welding booths, but the construction is different. Our ModPro panels are 16-gauge steel, which is 33 times stronger than the thin sheet metal you’ll find on most competitors’ booths. That matters in a production environment where things get bumped, hit, and abused daily. Our booths are also fully modular: bolt-togetherContinue reading “How do your booths compare to Lincoln Electric or FumeDog booths?”

How much does a DIY welding table kit cost?

DIY kits start at $599.99 for a 30″x40″ top in 1/4″ thickness. A complete set (top + legs) for the same size starts at $759.98. The largest complete set (50″x100″ with 3/8″ top and casters) is around $4,470. DIY kits cost roughly 30-40% less than the equivalent fully fabricated table.

Can I powder coat a DIY welding table kit?

No. Powder coating is not available on DIY kits. The tops ship in mill finish (P&O) and the leg kits ship in bare steel. If you need a coated table, our fully fabricated tables offer optional powder coating in over 200 colors on the base and shelf.

Do DIY welding table tops have fixture holes?

Yes. All DIY tops are CNC-cut with the same 5/8″ fixture hole pattern as our fully fabricated tables. This means all TMW clamps, fixtures, stops, and accessories work with DIY tops. The hole pattern is on a standard grid so you can use 16mm/5/8″ tooling from any manufacturer.
