It depends on how you work. A stationary heavy-duty welding table (like our 30?x40? up to 50?x100? models) is the right call when the table has a permanent home in your shop and you bring work to it. You get maximum mass, flatness measured in thousandths of an inch, and a surface that can grow to 100?+ with extensions. A mobile welding table is the better choice when the work doesn’t come to you you go to it. If you’re moving between bays, rolling into a paint booth, working in a tight garage, or need a secondary station you can push out of the way, a purpose-built mobile table saves time and frustration every day. Many shops run both: a big stationary table as the primary fabrication surface and a mobile table for tacking, fitting, and finish work wherever it’s needed.
